I saw a picture of Donovan Mitchell with this look in his eye. It immediatly reminded me of the 500-year-old famous sculpture "The David" by Michaelangelo.
Up until that time, many people had sculpted David (from the story of David and Goliath in the bible). But most artists had depicted David in a victorious pose - often with Goliaths severed head near his feet...
But Michaelangelo decided to show David in the moment that he made a conscious decision to stand and fight. I believe you can see that in Donovan's gaze. His determination to win shows through. It is a reminder to all of us that we need to make a decision to stand and fight for something. The big gains in life don't happen when you are reactive.
What are you goals? Have you made a consious decision to fight for them? Do you have the determination and decision to stand and fight for your dreams?
I hope this picture it inspires you like it has for many others. If it does, buy a print and hang it where you can see it often - to remind you that you need to DECIDE to stand and fight.
And you can feel good too, knowing that 50% of the proceeds will go to help fight cancer. So just by purchasing your copy, you are standing and fighting against cancer. Do some good!
